Architect's Newspaper (AN), the well-known American journal and website, has announced weco window's WECO 2C window as the winner of its first annual Best of Product Award 2015 in the category of openings.

Weco Windows is one of eight companies receiving top awards in different categories, from a total of 400 submissions. The independent jury included the architects Colin Brice, Barry Goralnick, Harshad Pillai and Alison Spear, together with AN Products Editor Leslie Clagett.

WECO WINDOWS has received the RED DOT AWARD: PRODUCT DESIGN 2015, a competition that recognizes the best in product design worldwide.

Our WECO 2C window was selected by an international jury of 38 experts, who evaluated 4,928 products from 56 different countries. With the prize, Weco Windows now carry the distinctive RED DOT label as a mark of design innovation and quality.

Red Dot recognizes exceptional design, following the motto, "In search of excellence".  The competition is one of the largest and most highly considered in the sphere of industrial design. The members of the jury examine the products presented for the prize for the following criteria: functionality and usefulness, degree of innovation, aesthetic quality, ecological compatibility, emotional content and design impact.

Three Spanish architects collaborated to create a new, attractive wood window series with large expanses of uninterrupted glass under the company name Weco System. The slim-profile frames are composed of 100% birch plywood with phenolic resin glues, while the double or triple glazing is tempered and laminated for thermal, acoustical, and weather performance. Suitable for residential and small commercial projects.

The WECO 2C window system was officially presented in May of 2014 at Madrid’s VETECO trade fair (International Window, Curtain Wall and Structural Glass Trade Show), at the special invitation of the organizers, and with the support Roto Frank. This renowned German hardware manufacturer is one of our technical consultants.
